The liquid enters the barrel at the lower ABV which ultimately costs Michter's more due to warehousing. Michter's believes that this process produces a richer and smoother rye. Nose: Cinnamon, butterscotch and leather. Palate: Molasses, deep oaky notes, crackles of rye spice and orange peel. Finish: Leather, caramel and more oak to finish.
