Carved Teak Elephant Corbel From Andhra Pradesh - 19th Century Decorative Stone With a handy tray edgeThis characterful and beautifully carved teak elephant corbel dates to the 19th century and would have been an architectural beam support. It comes from Andhra Pradesh state in the southeastern coastal area of India. It's clear to see this item was hand carved with passion. There is a beautiful layer of pale blue paint still visible on this piece which adds to its charm. There is also an old break to one of the tusks (visible in photos). Indian
