Cesar Marquez, Pico Ferreira, 2022 OOS spices and violetsJuicy strawberries and sour cherries, with an aromatic nose of garrigue and pencil shavings, rounded off with a touch of pimento. The tannin is dusty and compliments the broad structure. The fruit for this wine comes from a steep slope at a dizzying 700m elevation, from vines over 100 years old. This means the bunches are small and the fruit is concentrated and this is seen in the resultant wine.
