Job Description
Interested in being a part of an intimate team of people working hard to make a difference in healthcare? Would you like to learn about website development while also gaining exposure to medicine and healthcare IT? Have a knack for design and technology but prefer to also work with people/clients? If so, we’d love to speak with you. We are a small team working hard on very big problems facing private healthcare and wellness providers.
We are hiring a creative web designer who loves creating websites, landing pages and digital graphics. This individual should have a keen interest in using their artwork to help hardworking healthcare providers help patients. We believe in allowing as much room as possible for creative liberty. But we have a few thoughts on what will make you successful.
You should have built multiple websites (WYSIWYG is okay). Your friends should say your designs look ‘good’. You should have a working understanding of WordPress, HTML and CSS and be able to learn more yourself when needed. You should be fluent with English.
We would recommend you have some experience with Photoshop/GIMP and Illustrator/Inkscape. You should be comfortable working in a self-directed, remote environment. We meet regularly via Google Meet and stay connected through the day through Google Chat.
But the only hard requirements are simple: Always tell the truth. Work hard. Leave your ego at the door. Improve 1% every day. Be willing to make mistakes and say sorry. And to acknowledge, in word and demeanor, that you don’t know everything but that tomorrow you will know more than today.
